Caring and not caring occurs within us in the same moment.

Each moment brings a different reality. Reality is one reality. One whole. Everything that exists is connected. A moment is made of one aspect or phenomena of that whole, which is more visible to us at that moment than the rest of the vast network of All That Exists.

We engage with different phenomena of All That Exists each moment. It is through the part of it which is in our proximity, that is our engagement portal to the whole.

It is the way we make sense of things……the way the phenomena of All That Is, is being perceived by us that decides the path forward.

The Rushi Munis of Bhaarat have put Darshan right at the base of all higher pursuits of evolution. Dhrishti.

In all our present moments our eternal companion is our Dhrishti. Our perception.

Our perception is currently divided in compartments. These compartments are of our likes, dislikes, comforts, discomforts, prejudices, limited knowledge, grudges, insistences and resistences, held ideals, desires and many more.

That little speck of reality of our moment carrying the network of the Whole is greeted by this perceptual grid which is the entry gate to our Self.

What we do in and with the experiences is based on the level of our awareness about our Self and about existence.

The Gyan Paramparas of Bhaarat, the reverence to Devi Saraswati is to address the understanding of true nature of life, in our limited life span, by analyzing, contemplating and recompartmentalising our existing grids to be able to recieve the truth as it is. Not the distorted version of truth which is our current reality, held together by our perception grid.

After reality experienced in the moment is moulded into a concept by our grid, it is let loose to manifest into thoughts, words and actions. And this is how we live on into the new moment.

And so….the moment in its ordinary form….the ordinariness being the veil behind which these larger perceptual processes have taken place…..is one experienced as a pleasant or unpleasant one….filled with things which invoke our care and attention or just don’t.

The modern lifestyle, occuring on the superfice of a larger concourse of the Western stream of interference of reality, has taken control of our perceptual grids. It has redefined our grid to desire different things, to value different things. And the “different” is of a nature that veils instead of unveils. It is of a kind that expands the illusion state.

The Bhaaratiya Dharshan shastras and science of refining the dhrishti emerges from an intention to unveil the barriers to perception of reality. And make this science available to all.

The world dominated by the Western forces is designed to create newer and newer veils for humans to create newer and newer dependencies. The ownership of the objects of dependencies lies with the West and all non Western persons who are now deeply programmed to aspire to be Western.

We live in an era of an invisible, perceptual Coloniality.

The Bhaaratiya Darshan shows us the nature of our perceptual contaminations like attachment, hatred, ignorance, addictions, prejudices, etc. It fortifies a person’s own inner faculties to be mobilized as his/her purifying mechanisms.

The life designed by Western forces hijacks the perceptual state and further enhances its contaminations by manifesting channels to keep them supplemented (Eg consumerism, media, inspiration to keep consuming and upgrading to newer products and technologies, fashion, financial trends, etc.).

The onslaught of our raw impulses, the social environment of modernity which validates this unleashing of the unkempt animalistic part of our nature and the reinforcement of various forms of congratulations when one successfully fulfills their individual desire…..is all too overpowering for our gentler nobility and voice of conscience to withstand and hold steady in the finer pursuits and developing deeper awareness.

In the garb of freedom, it is the most insidious kind of subjugation.

So values that decide things we care about and those we don’t…..are largely implanted and not close to our own sensibilities any more.

Another potent player that eternally is the keeper of the grids is the ego. Ornamented with the constant crowns, medals, certificates, honours and progress parameters laid down, modern life becomes a pleasing race with reinforcements at every checkpost of life. To keep getting ahead is an irresistible proposition for the ego.

Reclaiming the faculty of dhrishti in its true form and function would be a return to our roots. To remember or contemplate what is truely worth caring about and what is not.

A life without caring about the roots or consequences of our actions is a very dry one. The only version of happiness available to such a life is relief, gratification and some coincidental fleeting inspirational states. To understand the roots and consequences of our actions, we need to re-examine the thoughts and priorities behind our actions. To re-examine our thoughts we need to acquaint ourselves with our dhrishti as a faculty and how it operates.

To care about aligning with the truths is the true treasure worth having. This care needs constant nourishment by supplementing right knowledge and protection from forces that diminish it.

It brings with it knowledge, people and experiences which are pointers along the way to greater, gentler and peaceful realities and things sacred.
